Quick answer: No—not as a resale play right now. The new Night 8 rewards associated with Roblox’s The Hollow are currently listed as off sale, but the catalog checks reviewed for this article do not show them with confirmed Limited or Limited U status. Roblox only allows eligible Limited and Limited U items to be resold. An item disappearing from the shop is not, by itself, proof that it has become a tradable collectible.
For U.S. players · Updated October 29, 2026 · By Shivam Das
The Overseer’s arrival in The Hollow has created the familiar Halloween-event question: should players keep a new reward, or try to turn it into Robux as quickly as possible? The answer depends less on how dramatic the item looks and more on a small detail underneath its Marketplace listing: its actual resale and trading status.
That distinction matters because the event has several reward routes. A floor-puzzle reward, a Ticket-shop cosmetic and an item earned through a participating experience may all appear in the same event conversation, but they do not automatically share the same unlock rules or marketplace permissions.
What counts as a new Overseer-related drop?
Roblox’s official announcement names The Overseer from WARDEN among the nine monsters in The Hollow. The event uses a new maze and monster across nine nights, with a live finale planned for October 31. Roblox says players can continue collecting eligible rewards until noon Pacific Standard Time on November 2. Those are the platform’s published event details; individual reward routes are a separate question.
As of the October 29 source checks, four new items were being grouped with the Night 8 update: Rotten Pumpkin, Helm of the Waning Moon, Wings of Corrupted Jerry and Ofuda Survival Kit. Their item identities appear in event badge and catalog tracking. Some reported unlock methods are community walkthroughs, not instructions published by Roblox, so check the live hub and linked experience before treating a route as guaranteed.
The important check: off sale is not the same as Limited
This is where quick trading posts can mislead players. An item marked Off Sale is not currently available through its ordinary purchase listing. That label does not automatically make the item Limited, Limited U, resellable or tradable.
Catalog snapshots reviewed for this article list the four items above as off sale and describe any future Limited status as being at Roblox’s discretion. That is a reason to wait for a real status change—not a reason to assume a market already exists. A displayed placeholder price, a favorite count or a viral asking price cannot replace the Limited tag and the item’s own Tradable field.
Roblox’s support guidance is clear: only Limited and Limited U items can be resold. On an item details page, Roblox says the Tradable field indicates whether the item can be traded. Check those fields on the item itself before making a decision.
What Roblox’s resale rules mean for these rewards
- Resale requires Limited or Limited U status. Roblox says an ordinary off-sale item is not automatically eligible.
- Roblox Plus is required to resell. Roblox’s current support instructions say an active Plus subscription is needed for resale.
- A holding period can apply. After acquiring a Limited or Limited U item, Roblox says the holding period can last up to 30 days.
- Trading has its own checks. Roblox says the item details page must show Tradable: Yes. Account age-check, privacy and subscription requirements may also apply.
- Trading and selling are different. Selling lists an eligible item for Robux; trading swaps eligible items with another player.
There is another detail worth keeping straight: Roblox’s recent social update about seven classic Halloween items becoming Limited concerns a separate group of older Marketplace items. It does not establish that the new The Hollow rewards have also become Limited. One announcement should not be used as evidence for a different batch of assets.
Hold or sell? A practical decision for each player
Keep it if you actually want to wear it
If Rotten Pumpkin, the moon helm, the wings or the Ofuda accessory fits your avatar, keeping it is a sensible outcome. A reward does not need to appreciate in value to be worth earning. Treat event Tickets as event currency, not as an investment deposit.
Do not plan a sale until the item page changes
If your only reason for collecting is future resale, pause. Revisit the item’s official Marketplace details page and look for a visible Limited or Limited U label. Then check whether the Tradable field says Yes. Until those signals appear, there is no reliable basis for promising that you can sell or trade the reward.
Reassess if Roblox changes the status later
If Roblox eventually converts one of these items to Limited, the decision changes—but it still does not become an automatic sell. Check how many copies are circulating, whether real resellers are listed, how the price chart behaves and whether buyers are completing transactions. A high asking price is not proof that anyone has paid it.
Avoid off-platform deals
Do not hand over an account, item or Robux because someone promises to sell the reward for you. Roblox warns that deals made outside its official trading and selling features are not protected by its systems. Keep any eligible transaction inside Roblox.
Five checks before you make a move
- Open the exact item’s official Roblox details page—not a look-alike UGC listing.
- Look for the Limited or Limited U label beneath the item image.
- Check the Tradable field. If it does not say Yes, do not assume a player-to-player trade is available.
- If resale is enabled, review the holding period and Roblox Plus requirement before listing.
- Compare actual resellers and the price chart. Do not treat social-media asking prices as completed sales.

Posts by RobloxFrequently asked questions
Should I sell the new Overseer drops immediately?
No. The checked listings do not show the Night 8 items with confirmed Limited or Limited U status. Roblox only allows eligible Limited and Limited U items to be resold, so wait for the official item status to change before planning a sale.
Are Rotten Pumpkin and Helm of the Waning Moon Limited items?
The catalog snapshots checked for this article list both as off sale and leave future Limited status to Roblox’s discretion. Off sale does not mean Limited. Check the live Roblox item page for the current label.
Can I trade Wings of Corrupted Jerry or Ofuda Survival Kit?
Do not assume either is tradable. Check each item’s official details page. Roblox says the Tradable field must show Yes for a player-to-player trade.
Does Roblox Plus let me sell any off-sale item?
No. Roblox Plus is a subscription requirement for resale, but the item must also be Limited or Limited U and clear any applicable holding period. A subscription does not turn an ordinary off-sale item into a Limited.
How long is the Roblox The Hollow reward window open?
Roblox says eligible rewards can continue to be collected until noon Pacific Standard Time on November 2, 2026. The live finale is planned for the morning of October 31, so the finale and the reward deadline are separate milestones.
Can a new Hollow reward become Limited later?
It may be possible if Roblox changes the item’s status, but that is not guaranteed. Recheck the official item details page rather than relying on predictions or resale rumors.
Bottom line: Collect the Overseer-era rewards because you want them, not because a quick flip is guaranteed. At the October 29 check, the evidence supports a simple rule: off sale is not Limited, and no resale plan is sound until Roblox’s own item page confirms eligibility.
