The second three-episode block of American Horror Story Season 13 arrives on Thursday, October 1. After the premiere’s focus on Ben, Constance, Mr. Nas, and the Rauhnacht gathering, the next chapters push the story into darker places for the holiday guests, a personal confrontation for Ben, and the first major move by the witches of Miss Robichaux’s Academy.

How to use the October episode slate without getting spoiled blindly

Official titles and synopses for American Horror Story Season 13’s next episodes are guide rails, not the full ride. Read them for tone — “Date Night,” “Devil’s Night,” musical cues — then watch for how Constance, the coven, and the Apollyon’s staff weaponize celebration. Premiere-week density means week-two episodes often pivot from reunion spectacle into consequence.

Here are the official titles, synopses, and what the early signals suggest.

Episode 4: “Is That All There Is?”

Airs: October 1, 2026
Directed by: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon
Written by: Ned Martel & Charlie Carver
Runtime: approximately 29 minutes

Official synopsis: “As Constance’s evening winds down, the holiday guests have dark places to go and people to see.”

The title is a Peggy Lee reference, but the synopsis keeps the focus on the aftermath of Rauhnacht. Constance’s party is ending. The guests who arrived for the pagan night — including figures tied to Murder House, Cult, and the Black Dahlia — are moving on to locations that the show is deliberately keeping vague. Club Hell and the portal beneath the Apollyon were already introduced. This episode appears to follow where those guests actually go once the formal gathering is over.

Episode 5: “Date Night”

Airs: October 1, 2026
Directed by: Jesse Peretz
Written by: Ned Martel & Charlie Carver
Runtime: approximately 26 minutes

Official synopsis: “A friend of Ben’s girlfriend wants to reconnect, whether he is ready to face the past or not.”

This is the first episode that pulls Ben away from the pure hospice-and-Nas storyline and back toward the personal cost of the plane crash. Kira is dead. A friend of hers is reaching out. The synopsis makes clear that Ben may not be ready. In a season built around the number 13 and a possible Hell portal, a “date night” title is almost certainly ironic. The episode looks positioned to test whether Ben can remain the audience’s entry point or whether the past is about to claim him as well.

Episode 6: “The Return of Devil’s Night”

Airs: October 1, 2026
Directed by: Crystle Roberson Dorsey
Written by: Ned Martel & Charlie Carver
Runtime: approximately 24 minutes

Official synopsis: “As an unseen threat closes in, the witches of Miss Robichaux’s Academy turn to powers older than the school itself.”

This is the first full turn toward the Coven side of the crossover. Devil’s Night is a direct callback to Hotel, where James Patrick March hosted an annual gathering of serial killers. The title “The Return of Devil’s Night” therefore carries double weight: it may literally revive that ritual, or it may signal that an older, darker tradition is being summoned by the witches as the unseen threat (already linked to Nas and the number 13) closes in.

The synopsis also confirms that the witches are reaching for magic that predates Miss Robichaux’s. That language aligns with Queenie’s growing interest in the voodoo side of her power and with Marie Laveau’s return to “whip these girls in line.”

What the Three Episodes Together Suggest

October 1 keeps the half-hour format and the three-episode drop. The structure appears to split the night: Constance’s guests continue their journey, Ben is forced to confront the human cost of the crash, and the witches finally begin their active response. By the end of the night, nearly half the season will have aired.

The remaining schedule moves to two episodes most Thursdays until the single-episode finale on October 29.

What are the titles of episodes 4, 5, and 6?

“Is That All There Is?”, “Date Night”, and “The Return of Devil’s Night”.

Do we get official synopses?

Yes. Episode 4 follows Constance’s guests after the holiday party. Episode 5 centers on a friend of Ben’s late girlfriend trying to reconnect. Episode 6 shows the witches turning to older powers as an unseen threat closes in.

Is “The Return of Devil’s Night” connected to Hotel?

The title directly echoes the Devil’s Night tradition introduced in Hotel with James Patrick March. Whether the episode literally revives that gathering or uses the name for a different ritual is still open, but the reference is intentional.

How many episodes will have aired after October 1?

Six of the thirteen episodes. The season continues with two-episode drops on most subsequent Thursdays until the finale on October 29.

The first three episodes established the Apollyon, Nas, and the Rauhnacht gathering. October 1 looks ready to show where the guests go, what the crash still costs Ben, and how the witches finally answer the threat that Cordelia already sensed. The chain reaction is still moving.
