Quick answer: Roblox has announced The Hollow for October 22, 2026, but it has not confirmed the separate Halloween app-theme leak or claims that a theme will be free at first and later restricted to Roblox Plus.
Posts from community leak trackers on X claim Roblox may be preparing a Halloween-style app appearance, icon and background artwork. These are unverified reports, not an official feature announcement. A screenshot or repost can be a clue, but it does not establish that a feature is real, when it will launch, or who will be eligible.
What Roblox has actually confirmed
The announced event date is October 22, 2026. That date does not confirm an app redesign, the rumored art, or any subscription rule. Roblox has used event-specific app styling before: its official The Hunt: Roblox 20 announcement described a limited-time Classic theme and explained how active Roblox Plus subscribers could keep certain elements afterward. That precedent makes a seasonal theme plausible, but it is not proof of a Hollow theme.
Roblox's official Roblox Plus personalization post documents app themes as a subscriber feature. It does not verify the specific Halloween leak or the alleged free-first rollout.
Will the theme be free before becoming a Roblox Plus perk?
That remains unconfirmed. Roblox has not announced the proposed sequence, eligibility, duration, or whether the rumored theme will exist at all. Do not pay for a subscription solely because of a leak. Check the Roblox Newsroom, the official Roblox account on X, and the app itself for direct confirmation.
