For U.S. Roblox players · Updated October 22, 2026 · By Shivam Das
Quick answer: We could not verify a working “100 Bones” farming route that unlocks Gourdlord: The Entangled for free. The Roblox catalog-tracking page currently lists the hat as off sale, and Roblox’s official announcement for The Hollow says quests can award exclusive UGC but does not publish a 100-Bones requirement for this specific item. Treat any guide promising a guaranteed unlock as unconfirmed until the live event board or linked experience displays the requirement.
This matters because a reward preview, an item catalog listing, and a working in-game quest are three different things. Here’s how to check the item safely and avoid spending a session farming a currency that may not apply.
Is Gourdlord: The Entangled free right now?
The third-party catalog tracker Rolimon’s identifies Gourdlord: The Entangled as a Roblox-created hat with asset ID 117762017263411 and currently marks it off sale. That status alone does not prove the item is free, obtainable through The Hollow, or claimable by farming Bones. It only tells players not to assume there is a normal Marketplace purchase available at the time checked.
Roblox’s official October 21 announcement confirms that The Hollow is a nine-night survival event with quests and exclusive UGC rewards. However, the announcement does not name a 100-Bones cost or publish a specific Gourdlord quest route. The live event hub and the linked experience’s own quest panel should take priority over unsourced social posts.
How to check the real unlock requirement
- Open Roblox directly. Enter The Hollow through Roblox’s official announcement or an in-platform event link. Do not use a third-party “claim” page.
- Inspect the live reward board. Find Gourdlord: The Entangled by its exact name. Read the complete requirement, including any currency, quest, badge, level, or deadline.
- Confirm the currency name. If the board says Bones, note the exact amount and where the game awards them. Do not assume Bones from a different Roblox experience carry over.
- Follow the listed quest, not a rumor. Complete only the objectives shown in the active quest tracker. If Gourdlord is absent from the board, there is no verified basis for claiming that a 100-Bones route unlocks it.
- Check the reward status before leaving. Look for an explicit completion or claim confirmation, then check your Roblox Avatar inventory. A badge or quest completion may not be the same as receiving a wearable item.
What if a creator says “farm 100 Bones”?
Use the claim as a lead to investigate, not as confirmation. Check whether the creator shows the exact item name, the live quest panel, the full currency counter, and a successful reward claim. A cropped clip, an old event screenshot, or a video showing a different item is not enough to establish that the method works today.
- Check the upload date and whether it is for the current 2026 event.
- Compare the displayed item name with the catalog listing.
- Verify that the currency is earned in the same experience where the reward is claimed.
- Do not give anyone your password, verification code, browser cookie, or account session to “unlock” an item.
Why old Halloween guides can mislead
Roblox has run different Halloween experiences with different currencies, portals, and quest rules. For example, its official 2025 Halloween Spotlight announcement described Runes and Keys, while its 2026 The Hollow announcement describes a separate nine-night survival event. A currency or route from a previous event should not be carried over to a new one unless the current instructions say so.

Frequently asked questions
Does 100 Bones definitely unlock Gourdlord: The Entangled?
Not confirmed by the sources checked for this guide. Only rely on the requirement if it appears in the live event board or the relevant experience’s official quest panel.
Is Gourdlord: The Entangled free?
Its catalog-tracking listing currently says off sale. That does not establish that it is free or available through a quest. Verify its requirement in Roblox before spending time farming.
Where do I find the Bones currency?
We could not verify that Bones are the confirmed currency for this item. Check the current quest screen and make sure any currency you collect belongs to the correct experience and reward track.
What should I do if the item is missing after completing a quest?
Confirm the exact account, re-open the quest panel, check whether a separate claim interaction is required, and inspect the correct Avatar inventory category. If the live instructions say the item was awarded but it still does not appear, contact Roblox Support through its official site.
Can I trust a website that promises an instant free UGC claim?
No third-party site should need your Roblox password, session cookie, or verification code. Use Roblox and the experience linked from its official event interface.
Bottom line: Gourdlord: The Entangled is a real catalog-listed Roblox hat, but the “100 Bones” farming method is not verified in the official information available at publication time. Check the live reward board first; if the item or requirement is not listed, do not treat the route as confirmed.
