PHILADELPHIA — The investigation into the Olney house on West Chew Avenue centers on a father-son pair: Eugene Horsch, who was arrested in June, and his late father Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, who died in 2025.
What to know
Eugene, 44, faces federal charges related to firearms and fraudulent identification documents. He has not been charged with any violent crimes in connection with the missing women cases.
R.C. Horsch was a writer and filmmaker whose published works included graphic and violent themes. Police have reviewed hundreds of pages of his writings as part of the investigation. Some of the material describes chemical processes that investigators are examining in light of evidence found at the home.
The house was transferred to Eugene years earlier. Investigators continue to examine digital evidence and physical materials recovered from the property.
Authorities say they have identified dozens of people seen in images found inside the so-called "house of horrors" in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood.
